Joining forces to shape the industrial future

Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg

Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg is a network founded and sponsored by Germany’s federal state of Baden-Württemberg. Our aim is to pool technological expertise in production as well as IT and communications to provide support for medium-sized industrial companies in their shift towards Industry 4.0.  The coordination office is located at VDMA e.V. Baden-Württemberg.

Together with our network partners from companies, institutes of applied research, associations, chambers of commerce, and social partners, we are striving to make Baden-Württemberg one of the world’s leading regions for Industry 4.0 technologies.

Small and medium-sized companies play a key role here and are the focus of our work. The close integration of the various industries involved and fields of technology allows them to benefit from this network to a particularly high degree. To achieve this goal, we provide support and reinforcement through a comprehensive package of activities for the direct collaboration among all players.

In addition to providing information, the focus is above all on connecting the participating sectors and fields of technology. In doing so, we can draw on the traditional strengths of our companies: As the „factory suppliers of the world“, Baden-Württemberg companies are already leaders in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in information and communications technologies geared to industry. The task now is to further expand and network these established partnerships.

The spokespersons for Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg are Michael Unger (Chairman of the Advisory Board of Balluff GmbH) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Bauernhansl (Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production and Automation Technology).
